One place for the files you cannot lose. Yours for $12.99, once.
Aerie is a private vault for the things that would hurt to lose: wills, deeds, medical records, IDs, and the photos of the people you love. Encrypted on your own device before it uploads, so nobody running Aerie can read them. One payment, no subscription, and no hunting through five different clouds for the one file you need.
What you actually get
20 GB that belongs to you
Enough for documents, scans, and the photos that matter. Not a film collection. Sized so that one payment can genuinely keep it going.
Zero-knowledge encryption
Your root key is created on your hardware and never leaves it. Aerie stores ciphertext it cannot open. Not a marketing promise, the ownership model.
One home, not five accounts
Everything that matters in a single place you open from any device, instead of remembering which cloud held which file in which year.
Your files back out, any time
One export, original formats, nothing locked inside a proprietary container that only Aerie can read.
The honest answers
These are the questions people ask before they trust anyone with family photos. Better to answer them here than in a support email.
Every file is encrypted with a key only you hold, and export is always available. If Aerie ever winds down, exports stay open for twelve months and the last twelve months of hosting are paid in advance out of a reserved fund. I would rather publish the exit than pretend there isn't one.
Who is behind it
I'm Robert Ernst. I built Aerie because I got tired of my own life being spread across five services that could change the rules whenever they liked. You can reach me at aeriehomecloud@gmail.com, and I answer.
